Many members will know that ODP is reviewing the business lease renewal provisions in the Landlord & Tenant Act 1954. Jason Hunter, chairman of the Law Reform Committee sits on the ODP review panel. ODP has laid a draft Order and Explanatory Note before Parliament.

The PLA has prepared a Post Action Protocol for use in business lease renewal casework. The Protocol has been well received. It is now being trialled in Central London County Court. Its use is strongly recommended. For a copy of the Protocol
