I qualified as a Solicitor in 1970 and as a Mediator in 2000.  I have acted as a Solicitor in at least twenty mediations, as a Mediator in some 15 mediations (as at November 2009) and have myself been a party in one mediation. I specialise in property disputes and am usually appointed by fellow lawyers in this field. My experience as a Mediator covers landlord and tenant disputes, professional negligence disputes, boundary disputes and a wide variety of other property related matters.  Currently my fee is £1,800 plus VAT for a "normal" day.  I have enjoyed a high success rate and consistently receive very high score ratings on the assessment forms returned to me by Solicitors and Barristers attending mediations which I have conducted.  Mediation is hard work but thoroughly enjoyable and enormously rewarding.  My name has been put forward for mediations by leading and junior Counsel, and a growing number of solicitors.
