The Education & Training Committee are looking forward to welcoming delegates to the Autumn Training Day at the Royal Society of Medicine on 8 November 2018. We’re rapidly nearing capacity for the event, so if you have yet to make your booking, please do so now. Please click the link below for details of the programme for this year, which offers a real variety of topics including drones, dogs, damages, litigants in person, CVAs, proprietary estoppel and how to get the best out of your counsel.
We hope that the programme reflects the breadth of practice areas in which our members are engaged and will provide a little something for everyone.
On a personal note, it will be my last PLA event as member of the E&T Committee. It has been a privilege and pleasure to be part of the team since 2011 and to chair the E&T Committee these past 2 years. I would like to thank all of the E&T Committee members and Executive Committee members with whom I have served over the years.
A great deal of thought and work goes into the Autumn Training Day, Annual Conference and the new Northern Training Day and we are indebted to the E&T Committee members, our speakers and, of course, Tim Power for ensuring that the PLA continues to set the industry standard for Property Litigation training events. As well as those who put the events together, we also owe thanks to our members who attend the events and, in particular those who give us feedback on them. Letting us know what worked, what could be better and what you want to hear about enables us to improve our events and tailor them to what our members want – please keep it all coming!
I have greatly enjoyed being a PLA committee member and would highly recommend it as it’s a great way to get to know other practitioners, find out what’s going on and give something back to our industry. If you are keen to get involved in the PLA, it’s as easy as contacting a committee chair (or member) – https://www.pla.org.uk/about/committees/ -and expressing an interest. So, as I hand over the chair of the E&T to the excellent Rebecca Campbell, please do contact her if you would like get involved in the E&T Committee.
