The road from Property Litigator to Judge

Registration: 5.30pm
Event starts: 6pm

The skill set of a Property Litigator is one that would be well suited to judicial practice. The matching of litigation practice and specialist knowledge make Property Litigators eminently suitable candidates for judicial appointments.

The PLA are hosting a unique panel event that will give Property Litigators a focussed and tailored insight into how they could expand their practice into the judiciary. The event is aimed at all PLA members who may be considering a role within the judiciary either in the near or distant future, or who simply want to find out more about how open the judiciary has become and the criteria for judicial selection. The panellists will also give a candid insight into the experience of sitting as a judge in different areas of the judiciary.

Judicial Appointments Commissioner, Brie Stevens-Hoare QC, will chair the event.

The panellists are:

Mr. Justice Murray
Chief Master Marsh
Chancery Master Shuman
Tribunal Judge Wayte

The event promises to be insightful and informative with a particular focus on practical advice for those considering at some point in their career of applying to join the judiciary. The audience will be able to ask questions and the event will be followed by drinks and networking.

All members of the PLA are welcome to attend this free event.

Registration is from 5.30pm and the event starts at 6pm.
