The Autumn Training Day is back on Wednesday 17 November 2021 running from 9.30am to 4.30pm followed by networking drinks until 6pm.

The event will be run as a HYBRID with free livestream for all members and in-person attendance available.

BOOKING

If you wish to join the livestream, there is no need to book. An email will be sent out to the whole membership with joining details the day before the event. Just put the date in your diary and await log-on information by email. Please have devices prepared to receive the livestream via Vimeo and to take part in Q&A by Sli.do.

Booking is only required for in person attendance only. In-person attendance is limited to 150 and is open to members-only. There is an initial limit of 3 places per firm. Further places will be allocated if space allows. To book in person places, please complete the booking form at the bottom of this page.

    TERMS AND CONDITIONS (‘We’ ‘Our’ ‘Us’: means TPS and PLA) 1. Booking and Payment 1.1 All booked places will be regarded as confirmed upon receipt of a written application by TPS (whether by email or post). 1.2 Settlement of fees against an invoice, when requested, must be made within 30 days of date of invoice, using electronic bank transfer whenever possible. 1.3 The delegate and the firm/organisation are jointly and severally liable for payment of the fees due. 1.4 Acceptance by TPS/PLA of a booking will give rise to a legally binding contract between the delegate and Us on these terms and conditions, governed by the laws of England. No variation will be valid unless in writing and signed by an authorised signatory. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts. 2. Substitutions A delegate may at any time and at no extra charge nominate a colleague from the same firm (who must be a PLA member) to attend in his/her place but only for that category of attendance originally booked. 3. Cancellations 3.1 If a booking cancellation is requested by a delegate or a delegate’s firm, a refund (subject to a 20% administration charge plus VAT) will be made only if there is a waiting list from which We can find a replacement delegate. 3.2 In the unlikely event that We elect to cancel the event, We may cancel a booking by writing to the delegate (to the e-mail address nominated in the booking) at any time and We shall either (at our sole option): (i) offer the delegate a credit note against an equivalent future PLA event or (ii) refund the booking fee paid in advance subject to a deduction to account for any unrecoverable costs incurred by Us but disclaim any further liability. 3.3 Booking fees will not be refunded in the event of cancellation of the event arising from circumstances outside of Our control including, but not limited to, as a result of a government order; the outbreak of a communicable diseases and/or pandemic; and/or an act of terrorism. 3.4 In the unlikely that We postpone the event, delegates will be offered a credit note against an equivalent future event subject to the delegate cancellation provision in paragraph 3.1. 3.5 We shall not be liable for any expenditure, damage or loss incurred by the delegate arising from a postponement or cancellation of the conference. 4. Event Information 4.1 We will issue written confirmation followed by full event travel and administrative information to those attending the event in person. 4.2 Delegates attending the event agree: • to treat the premises and/or the facilities with care and respect for the privacy of the residents and not to try to gain access to unauthorised areas; and • not to behave in a manner which puts others at risk or causes nuisance or annoyance. 4.3 We reserve the right at any time to exclude from the event and the premises any Delegate whose behaviour is, in our reasonable opinion, an unacceptable nuisance or annoyance to other delegates or to others on the premises. There will be no refund of booking fees in relation to any such exclusion. 5. Delegates With Special Requirements Delegates who will require assistance or who have any other special requirements should notify TPS who will take reasonable steps to facilitate any necessary arrangements. 6. Limitation of Liability 6.1 We cannot be held responsible for any loss, liability or damage to delegates’ personal property whilst attending the event. 6.2 Nothing in this agreement excludes or limits our liability for any matter for which it would be illegal for us to exclude or attempt to exclude our liability. 6.3 Subject to clause 6.2: (a) our total aggregate liability in contract, tort (including negligence or breach of statutory duty), misrepresentation, restitution or otherwise, arising in connection with the performance or contemplated performance of this contract shall be limited to the amount of the booking fee paid by the delegate; and (b) we shall not be liable for any indirect or consequential damages or losses; any loss of profits, loss of revenue, loss of data, loss of contracts or opportunity (in each case whether direct or indirect) which arise out of or in connection with the agreement; or any non- performance or delay in performance arising out of circumstances beyond our reasonable control. 7. Changes To The Programme We reserve the right to vary the published programme, including choice of speakers, topics and start/finish times at any time. 8. Speakers Views expressed by speakers are their own. We cannot accept liability for advice given, or views expressed, by any speaker at the event or in any material provided to delegates. 9. Photography & Filming 9.1 By attending the event, you agree that We may use, reproduce, and/or publish in any way whatsoever (without any payment being due to delegates) any photographs and/or video/audio that may pertain to you (including your image, likeness and/or voice), and that it may license others to do the same. 9.2 This material may be used (without limitation) in various publications, public affairs releases, broadcast material, the PLA’s website/s or for other related endeavours. This authorisation is continuous and may only be withdrawn with the prior written agreement of the PLA.
