Junior PLA

The Junior PLA  (JPLA) was created to help junior PLA members of up to 10 years’ PQE develop their own network of property professionals. Business development increasingly forms a key part of practice and there is a need for effective and targeted networking for members at all levels.

Training and social networking events organised by the JPLA are primarily aimed at bringing together junior members of the three main professional organisations: PLA, PBA (Property Bar Association) and RICS matrics. As part of these events we also aim to encourage discussions on key issues affecting everyday practice across all three disciplines.

Forthcoming events, seminars and training materials specifically relevant to junior PLA members will be announced on the PLA website Events Calendar and by email notices to junior members. JPLA membership is automatic for PLA members of less than 10 years’ PQE – no need to apply.

If you would like to get involved with the JPLA, particularly if you are based in the regions, please contact the JPLA Chair (JPLA matters only please).

The JPLA Committee has prepared some checklists for use by our junior members (more to follow in due course)

  • Checklist for Unopposed Section 25 and Section 26 Notices Pursuant to the Landlord and Tenant Act 1954 (“54 Act”)
  • Checklist for Terminal Dilapidations Claims
