2017 PLA Conference – Blog from the Education and Training Committee

PLA Conference – Blog from the Education & Training Committee

We are looking forward to welcoming delegates to the PLA’s Annual Conference on 23 and 24 March 2017 at Keble College, Oxford.  Once again, the Conference has nearly sold out and a full list of delegates attending can be found here.

The line-up of speakers is excellent once again.  As well as an extremely strong contingent of property silks and juniors, Claer Barrett of the Financial Times will be speaking to us about how recent political events are affecting the market and Nick Davies of Really Great Training will be leading a break–out session about negotiation techniques.  As ever, we are grateful to all our speakers for their support.  We hope that delegates find all of the topics on offer engaging and informative.

In addition to our speakers and delegates, we are pleased to welcome our new President Liz Peace to the Conference and dinner.  Liz has already attended a number of our Executive Committee meetings and new initiatives are being looked into on the back of her guidance.  We are very much looking forward to hearing Liz’s first address to the Conference on the Friday morning.

And, if what’s on offer at the Conference isn’t already enough, Lord Neuberger will be joining us for our dinner on the Thursday evening.  We are delighted that Lord Neuberger is able to join us and we hope that members will take the opportunity to show their appreciation for all his support and work as the PLA’s first President.

I hope delegates enjoy the programme and look forward to catching-up with people at the Conference and dinner.
