PLA adds two new honorary members

PLA APPOINTS TWO NEW HONORARY MEMBERS

The Property Litigation Association (PLA) has appointed Jeremy Hudson of Charles Russell Speechlys and Katie Bradford of Linklaters as honorary members in recognition of their outstanding service to the Association and to property litigation generally.

Jeremy and Katie were both founding members of the Association when it was set up in 1995 to represent professionals specialising in property litigation, including commercial, residential and agricultural property law.

Jeremy, a partner at Charles Russell Speechlys, specialises in all aspects of landlord and tenant litigation. He successfully acted in an appeal to the Upper Tribunal (Lands Chamber) on one of the largest collective enfranchisements to date (82 Portland Place (Freehold) Limited v Howard de Walden Estates Limited [2014]).

Katie, a partner consultant at Linklaters, has been involved in all aspects of property disputes in her nearly 40-year career. She was also a founding member of the Women’s Property Litigation Group and vice-chair of the Civil Mediation Council.

They join existing honorary members Lord Neuberger, Suzanne Lloyd Holt and Vivienne King.  The PLA created the new position in 2015 to honour those who have made an outstanding contribution to the Association and who are leaders in property litigation.

Lord Neuberger had been the PLA’s immediate Past President for around 20 years, while Suzanne and Vivienne helped set up the Association and continued their involvement for many years.

The PLA’s intention is to award honorary membership sparingly and only to outstanding candidates, limiting these to one or two appointments per year.

They remain closely involved with the PLA and we greatly value their continuing support.”
