The PLA Annual General Meeting 2022 was held on 10 November 2022 at 7pm at Ironmongers’ Hall Shaftesbury Place, Barbican, London EC2Y 8AA. The minutes, unaudited accounts and amended Articles of Association following the meeting are available here.

Dellah Gilbert, Head of Real Estate Disputes at Maples Teesdale, has been appointed as the new Chair of the Property Litigation Association, as Hogan Lovells’ Mathew Ditchburn steps down from the role having completed his one-year term.

On the 29 September the PLA south coast region hosted a seminar at Paris Smith LLP offices in Southampton.

The JPLA hosted a short telecoms webinar with Oliver Radley-Gardner KC on 18 October 2022 looking at the current state of the law under the Code. The recording and slides have been made available to members.

The PLA South Coast were hosted by Foot Anstey LLP in Southampton for a seminar on Thursday 13 October. James Ballance and James Mitchell of Maitland Chambers presented on the topic of Lender Claims in Professional Negligence

John de Waal KC, Gemma de Cordova and Clare Anslow from Gatehouse Chambers provided an update on dilapidations, cladding issues, vacant possession and the scope of s18. Peter Petts, also from Gatehouse Chambers, also provided some forfeiture tips from his new book “Forfeiture of Leases”.

The PLA Northern Training Day 2022 was held on 21 September. The conference papers have been made available to members.
