This was an appeal to the Upper Tribunal from a decision of the First-tier Tribunal Property Chamber (Residential Property) that the Stemps should pay an administration charge in relation to costs incurred by the respondent in contemplation of proceedings under section 146 of the Law of Property Act 1925.Read article -

Our second Northern Training Day started with a bang in Manchester. This year in Manchester we had approximately 30% more attendees than last year’s sell out event in Leeds. As the Mancunian karaoke playlist died away, we began with a short introduction from our chair Bryan Johnston. Following the voluntary Capped Costs Pilot which commenced in certain Business and Property Courts on 14 January 2019, MOJ has launched a consultation in relation to extending the use of Fixed Recoverable Costs (FRC) in Civil Cases.
